The Indelicates Punk Rock Workshops are designed to excite and inspire, to offer an insight into the varied creative processes involved in writing, playing and performing pop music and to provide a focussed outlet for the varied talents of your students. The precise details are discussed in the options section - but all the workshops are based around the writing, learning and performing of an original song. Children form a band, write a song, play it and record it – the results are then made available to them in the ‘bands only’ section of this website, which they can access with a password.

As frontpeople for indie band, The Indelicates, Julia and Simon have been all over the world, touring extensively in europe, performing at the renowned South-by-Southwest festival in Texas and releasing records in Japan. Their debut Album ‘American Demo’ was released to acclaim in 2008, and they are currently working on their second to be released at the end of 2009. Highly praised for their lyrical content, they recently published a book of poetry and annotated lyrics. They have been written about in such diverse publications as the NME, the New Statesman, Rolling Stone and the Observer’s political comment section. As such, they view songwriting as a multidisciplinary craft and the workshops they have designed are as much about performing and creative writing as they are about music.
